University of Maine Skeleton Work

This past year I have had the privilege of working with the University of Maine to help them identify, catalog and clean their massive skull and skeleton collection. The Professor and I have been tackling this daunting task for over a year now and still have lots of work left to do. The collection at the University is simply amazing! Skulls and skeletons including whales, dolphins, sea turtles, monkeys galore, manatees, South American tapir, black footed ferrets, seals, aardwolf, lions, bears, Asian small – clawed otters, and the rare tree pangolin – to name just a few.

What a great resource this collection will be for anyone interested in these animals. We have at this point organized most everything and now are in the preparing and cleaning phase. Please enjoy these pictures (with more to come) of some very rare skulls and skeletons!

At Bare Bones Mounts, your trophy skull mount or animal skeleton is all that matters.
